Chatbooks: Automatic Photo Books of Family Memories

Did your family keep photo albums? Mine did, and we loved looking through them together from time to time. Looking at old family photos or watching old home videos used to be one of my family’s regular pastimes. We would visit my Opa, who we called “video man” because of his love of documenting family visits, and each evening we would watch the videos he took during the day. It was also a favourite rainy day activity. My Opa passed on the documentation genes to me and I love making videos, taking pictures, and finding other ways of recording our family memories. It’s wonderful to have pictures of trips that we went on, but some of my favourite pictures and videos show our day to day life at home together. That’s why I love Chatbooks.

I love photo books. I love to have a book that has memories of my children, but hate having to go through the hassle of putting them together myself.

Chatbooks does this for me! They use the photos I post on social media and automatically generate photo books that are delivered directly to my doorstep. These photo books are good quality and can be customized with different cover options but also make it easier for someone like me who has no time or patience when it comes to these things.

I chose the Instagram Series because that’s where I post my pictures and the books hold 60 pictures. I typically post about 1-2 pictures a week so it works out to a book in a little less than a year.

Without Chatbooks, would I forget to do this regularly? Absolutely.

Would it take hours and hours for me to pick pictures, edit them, arrange them in a book, (wait for a sale), and order them? Ohhh, yes.

Chatbooks takes care of all the hard parts for me when it comes to photo books. I don’t need to do any work aside from taking photos and posting them on social media. You can choose to include the date and/or the caption in your photobooks, and in the past few years they included the ability to stretch the picture to cover the page, edge to edge. If you post additional photos on Instagram that you don’t want to include in your photo book, you can remove them with one click, and you can add other pictures if you wish.

They’re also really reasonably priced, so we order two of each book so I can pass on a full set to each of our boys when they’re older.
