bacchus class

Hi! I’m Megan

I’m a Special Education Resource Teacher in Ontario. I love teaching and learning, and I love helping others teach and learn.

Bacchus Class started years ago as my classroom website. These days, it’s where I share the things I’m creating, learning, and actually using: Kindergarten resources, Special Education ideas, free digital tools, and the occasional rabbit hole I’ve fallen into.

Have a look around. I hope you find something that inspires you!

FREE Ontario Kindergarten Long-Range Plans

I’ve been creating resources specifically for Ontario’s new 2026 Kindergarten Curriculum, with a focus on practical, developmentally appropriate learning that still leaves room for play, inquiry, and responsive teaching.

These free September-June long range plans organize the expectations into a flexible progression across the school year.

Kindergarten Math Mini-Lessons

Ready-to-teach Google Slides lessons designed specifically for young learners.

The growing collection includes number sense, estimation, composing and decomposing numbers, patterns, data literacy, shapes, measurement, Canadian money and more.

Free Interactive Tools

I love creating simple digital tools that help students learn.

Picture Practice

A free web app designed to help students who are learning skills to use a touch screen. I use this with nonverbal students who do not yet have AAC devices and are learning basic motor skills related to using a touch screen. It’s also great for multilingual learners who are learning nouns. Try it out!

Resources for Diverse Learners

A lot of what I create grows directly from my work in Special Education.

Communication & AAC

Visual and explicit resources that support expressive and receptive communication, including students who use AAC.

Social-Emotional Learning

Practical lessons and activities for identity, belonging, self-confidence, emotional regulation, and other social-emotional skills.

Executive Function

Resources and strategies that help children build skills such as organization, flexibility, self-regulation, and independence.
