Writing About Your Opinion
Writing About Your Opinion:
Your opinion is what YOU think.
JKs – Write a list of things you like. “I like ____. I like ____.”
SKs – What is your favourite flavour of ice cream? Write one sentence to tell me what it is. Write another sentence to convince me that it’s the best flavour of all the ice cream flavours.
Here’s my example:
Broccoli ice cream is Mrs. Bacchus’ favourite flavour. It is the best because it is bright green and it has lots of vitamins in it.
It’s going to be tough to convince me that your favourite flavour is better than broccoli ice cream, so do your best!
Other Writing Activities
- Write a journal entry about the long weekend. You could write it on paper or you could write it in an email to Mrs. Bacchus. Draw a picture of something you did. JKs – label your picture. SKs – write a sentence (or more!) about your picture.
- Put salt/flour on a plate, tray, or kitchen counter. Use your finger to write word wall words, your family members’ names, or the letters of the alphabet.
- Use sticks or dandelions to make letters and words.
