Favourite Books Friday: Books about Thankfulness and Gratitude

It’s Thanksgiving time, and many of us are reflecting on what we’re grateful for. It’s the time we’re focusing on feeling thankful for all that we have, as well as finding ways to give and share with others. I have been so inspired by our school community as we’ve raised money for the Terry Fox foundation and gathered food for our Thanksgiving food drive. Reading books about gratitude is one way to introduce the idea to young children.

We know that gratitude is connected to greater happiness. How can you start a regular practice of sharing what you are thankful for with your students?

Here’s a list of books for kids about gratitude and thankfulness – find your favourite book or share one with us in the comments section below!
