Show What You Know: 2D Shapes and 3D Solids
We are finishing up with 2D shapes and 3D solids. Look at the picture below with your child.
- How many of the shapes can they name? (You may need to cover the names.)
- Say: “Tell me what you know about triangles.” Can they tell you they have 3 sides and 3 corners?
- Ask: “Which of the solids can roll?” (cone, sphere, cylinder)
- Ask: “Which of the 2D shapes have 4 sides?” (square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid)
